Volgend op het geroemde *'Molok'* album uit 2015, brengt Gazpacho een nieuw studio-album uit genaamd *'Soyuz'*. De band, wiens vorige album door The Independent (UK) nog omschreven werd als €œAn album that could destroy the world€, geeft een holistische benadering aan het schrijfproces middels een immer boeiend concept. De songs op *'Soyuz'* vormen een serie aan elkaar verbonden korte verhalen over mensen die lijken te zijn bevroren in de tijd, zoals in de tracks *'Soyuz One'* en *'Soyuz Out'* over de eerste bemande Russische ruimtecapsule en de noodlottige astronaut Komarov. Bekend vanwege hun onderscheidende Art Rock die balanceert tussen zowel spannende en prachtige arrangementen als sinistere en bezielde melodielijnen, gaat Gazpacho op *'Soyuz'* verder met experimentele output. Het artwork van de schilder Antonio Seijas is geinspireerd door de Russische Koude Oorlog kleuren en lettertypes ten tijde van de eerste Soyuz vlucht.
