Nieuwe samenwerking tussen twee van de meest geëerde geluidsartiesten. Hun paden kruisten elkaar regelmatig - Zagreb, Los Angeles, Hobart en meer - en onderweg naar nergens besloten Basinski en English dat ze maar eens een plaat moesten maken. De titel komt uit Dante's 'Inferno'. Letterlijk betekent 'Selva Oscura' schemerig bos en dat zou weer een metafoor zijn voor the nature of losing one's way in place and time. Het basismateriaal van de composities is behoorlijk door elkaar gehaald op
